Khulna division reported 47 more deaths from Coronavirus and 1,693 new cases in the last 24 hours.

Of the deceased, sixteen are from Khulna, ten from Kushtia, four each from Jashore, Jhenaidah and Meherpur, three each from Chuadanga and Magura and one each from Bagerhat, Satkhira and Narail.

Rasheda Sultana, Director of Divisional Health Directorate, confirmed the matter to media.

A total of 78,040 people have tested positive for the virus so far in the division.

A total of 1,772 people died of the virus in the division so far and 49,962 people have been cured from the disease.

Khulna reported its first Coronavirus case on March 19 last year.
